Inspire Salon
This project had me working primarily with UI/UX Design and Graphic Design.
Inspire Salons and Spas wanted a complete website overhaul and had several corporate goals to meet while maintaining a local and friendly feeling.
The salon’s parent corporation, Aveda, has a very elegant, sophisticated feel to its branding while maintaining down to earth values when it comes to the environment and being ecologically responsible. Natural elements are used in the majority of the imaging involved in the salon and in online marketing and the atmosphere of the salon itself is designed to be a relaxing experience. Infusing this ethos into all aspects of the project while maintaining functionality and user experience were the key driving factors of the project.
The design process began with brainstorming layouts and functionality. As they already had a brand and image in place, I combined their assets and new ideas to create the front-end of the website. I managed a web developer to complete the custom theme and build the back-end of the website. Throughout the process, we worked together to meet their goals, and to make any changes that were required.
